Fadi Nahas Consul honoraire à Istanbul
L'ambassadeur équatorien en Turquie, Lourdes Puma, a remis la décoration de l'Ordre national du mérite, dans le diplôme officiel, à Fadi Nahas, qui a été consul honoraire de l'Équateur à Istanbul de 1998 à 2019. Le président Lenín Moreno a décidé de décerner ce prix pour le travail accompli pendant son administration, en particulier pour son engagement à promouvoir les intérêts de l'Équateur dans ce pays. Il met en évidence le fait que Nahas, né au Liban, était un gestionnaire important pour l'entrée des bananes équatoriennes sur le marché turc, un produit qui est la principale exportation du pays vers la Turquie. Les exportations de bananes équatoriennes vers la Turquie ont atteint en 2019 le montant de 208 millions de dollars. En outre, le consul a accordé une attention considérable aux Équatoriens résidant à Istanbul.
The Ecuadorian ambassador to Turkey, Lourdes Puma, presented the decoration of the National Order of Merit, in the Official Degree, to Fadi Nahas, who served as the Honorary Consul of Ecuador in Istanbul from 1998 to 2019.
President Lenín Moreno decided to award this award for the work performed during his administration, especially for his commitment to promote the interests of Ecuador in that country.
It highlights the fact that Nahas, born in Lebanon, was an important manager for the entry of Ecuadorian bananas into the Turkish market, a product that is the country’s main export to Turkey.
Ecuadorian banana exports to Turkey reached in 2019 the amount of 208 million dollars.
In addition, the Consul lavished significant attention on Ecuadorians residing in Istanbul.
